This year, 19 of our graduates delivered a satisfying overseas university application season.
The graduates of the Class of 2025 received more than 110 acceptance letters from 64 globally renowned colleges and universities from G5 schools in the United Kingdom, Ivy League universities and liberal arts colleges in the United States, Hong Kong, China, Canada, Australia, Spain, and other countries and regions, and received 6 offers per capita.
This dazzling achievement demonstrates the strong international competitiveness of Sedbergh students and highlights the fruitful results of the school's philosophy of “whole person education”.
PART 01 UK
G5 institutions Stable play
36% of our students were successful in gaining entry to top 10 world ranked institutions and 45% gained admission to top 5 UK (world TOP30) institutions. Remarkably, all students applying in the UK direction made offers to the top 10 (world TOP50) institutions in the UK, continuing Sedbergh School's historic lead in applications to UK colleges and universities.
In terms of G5 super-elite university admissions, Sedbergh students received a total of 8 offers, including 1 from Cambridge University, 2 from Imperial College, 4 from University College London, and 1 from London University of Economics and Political Science. The University of Manchester, a leading research university in the UK, issued 10 offers to our students, while King's College London issued offers to Sedbergh students for the fourth consecutive year, further confirming the continued impact of talent development at Sedbergh.
PART 02 USA
“Public Ivy League” and High Scholarships
It goes without saying that the gold content of the U.S. college application is the most competitive in the world. In the midst of fierce competition, Sedbergh students still stood out with an acceptance rate of 71% into the top 30 and 100% into the top 60 in the U.S. They were favored by 33 colleges and universities, and accumulated more than 9 million yuan in scholarships, which is a record high in prize money.
In terms of comprehensive universities, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), a prestigious “public Ivy League” school, only issued two offers in Fujian Province, both of which were won by Sedbergh students. In addition, the University of California, Berkeley (UCB), also issued only two offers in Fujian Province, and Sedbergh students successfully won one of them. In addition, Seth Mann students were accepted to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, the No. 1 engineering school in the nation, the most prestigious research university in Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Boston University, a Martin Luther King Jr. alumnus.
The College of Arts and Sciences has also performed well, with prestigious schools such as Mount Holyoke College, one of the top liberal arts colleges in the U.S., McAllister College, a “New Ivy”, and Denison University, which boasts an art gallery comparable to Harvard and other top collegiate art galleries, all making acceptance offers to Sedbergh students.
PART 03 Asia/Canada/Australia
Leading the way to further success
In terms of internationalization, Sedbergh students have excelled not only in the UK and US, but also in many of the world's leading educational countries.
The University of Hong Kong (HKU), as a renowned academic institution in Asia, has become increasingly competitive in recent years. Against this backdrop, Sedbergh students have successfully gained admission to HKU for two consecutive years.
All students who applied to Canadian institutions were accepted to the top 3 schools in Canada, the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia and McGill University, further highlighting Sedbergh School's recognition in the North American higher education system.
100% of all students applying to Australian institutions are admitted to the top three universities in Australia, including the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne, Monash University and other top institutions.
PART 04 Art/Hotel Management

We have constructed a comprehensive system in cultivating students' specialties and majors, and through assessment, professional tutor guidance and curriculum design, we have deeply explored students' professional potential and artistic talent, helping them to stand out in globally renowned professional colleges and universities.
University of the Arts London, as undergraduate art and design majors in the world's top-ranked top institutions, Sedbergh art students applying for 100% acceptance, majoring in art direction and visual effects majors, fashion management and other popular areas.
Students who applied for the hotel management direction were offered admission to the Rhenish International Hotel Management School and the Swiss Hotel Management School, which are the global benchmarks for hotel management programs and whose graduates are highly sought after by international luxury hotel groups.
